Forgotten Forms is the creative work of Aaron Piccirillo.
I have been involved in writing, recording, performance, and composition for over fifteen years, I hold a bachelor’s degree in literature from the State University of New York at Purchase, and a master’s degree from the University of Manchester in England.
I am a current contributor to Ultraculture.org, and I have written for Clavis Journal, Aeon Sophia Press, and Appalachia Journal. I will also have an essay published in New Wilderness Voices, an anthology of essays due out in summer 2017 from the University of New England Press.
I have been a member of multiple musical groups, most notably Apse, and I continue to record my own material under the name Somnolent,* founded in 2004. Somnolent was included on “Nothing Concrete”, a 99x/10 records compilation put together by Roger O’Donnell, keyboardist for The Cure. Most recently, Somnolent has had two tracks included on each of the Hermetic Library’s 2014 and 2016 anthology albums.
*This is not to be confused with the Russian band of the same name, formed in 2006.
